AMD Ryzen 9 9900X iz družine procesorjev Granite Ridge ima 12 CPE jeder, ki temeljijo na arhitekturi “Zen 5” . Vsako procesorsko jedro ima dostop do celotnega predpomnilnika L3, kar bistveno izboljša zmogljivost v igrah.

V kombinaciji z združljivo matično ploščo AM5 AMD Ryzen 9 9900X podpira standard PCI-Express 5.0, ki je dvakrat hitrejši od PCIe 4.0. Vsi procesorji Ryzen 9000 uporabljajo platformo AM5 in so zasnovani za uporabo z ustreznimi nabori čipov AMD.


12-jedrni procesor AMD Ryzen 9 9900X s 4,4 GHz

AMD Ryzen 9 9900X ima 12 fizičnih jeder CPE , ki lahko obdelujejo dve niti hkrati, zahvaljujoč simultanemu večnitnemu obdelovanju (SMT), kar učinkovito podvoji število procesorskih jeder na 24 niti.

Ryzen 9 deluje pri visokem osnovnem taktu do 4,4 GHz na jedro, ki ga je mogoče natančno prilagoditi v realnem času z uporabo Precision Boost 2 in povečati do 5,6 GHz turbo v okviru 120-vatne Thermal Design Power (TDP) .

Dvanajst CPU jeder s 4-nanometrsko proizvodnjo

Silicij jeder CPE je izdelan z naprednim 4-nm postopkom FinFET z zloženimi tranzistorji (znanimi tudi kot 3D tranzistorji) z uporabo ekstremne ultravijolične litografije (EUV). Prostor, prihranjen na procesorski matrici zaradi bistveno zmanjšane velikosti strukture, omogoča integracijo skupno 12 MB predpomnilnika ravni 2 in ogromnega 64 MB predpomnilnika ravni 3 , kar je še posebej pomembno za igre.

The I/O chiplet responsible for data lines in the CPU package is produced using a 6-nanometer process. The CPU provides a total of 28 PCIe lanes, of which four lanes are reserved for connecting to the motherboard chipset and eight lanes for connecting NVMe SSDs. This leaves 16 lanes for communication with graphics cards, while additional PCIe lanes for other storage devices, expansion cards, and peripherals are provided depending on the motherboard chipset.


Maximum Performance with PCI-Express 5.0

Combined with a compatible motherboard, the AMD Ryzen 9 9900X supports the PCI-Express 5.0 standard, which is backward compatible and works with all older expansion cards. Compared to PCIe 4.0, PCIe 5.0 offers double the data transfer rate per lane. This allows an NVMe SSD connected via four PCIe 5.0 lanes to achieve theoretical read/write speeds of up to 15.6 GB/s.

The AM5 platform also brings modern external device connections like Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 with Type-C connector, and high data transfer rates of up to 40 Gbit/s. The integrated memory controller of the CPU supports fast and energy-efficient DDR5 memory with or without ECC error correction at a native clock speed of 5600 MHz, with significantly higher clock rates possible through overclocking. For this, AMD has introduced special EXPO performance profiles adapted to the Ryzen 9000 series.


Automatic Overclocking with Precision Boost 2

With AMD Zen 5, you no longer have to worry about overclocking, as the AMD Ryzen 9 9900X handles it automatically for you. Thanks to the Auto-OC feature Precision Boost 2, the processor can increase the clock speed up to 150 MHz above the factory-set maximum boost clock. This automatic overclocking ensures optimized performance without manual intervention, allowing you to focus entirely on your gaming or work tasks while your system consistently delivers the best performance. Requirements are a compatible motherboard and sufficient CPU cooling.

Unlocked CPU: Manual Overclocking with Unlocked Multiplier

The AMD Ryzen 9 9900X is “unlocked” and features an unlocked multiplier, allowing the multiplier to be freely adjusted. In the BIOS or UEFI, or conveniently via software, you can manually increase the clock speed or adjust the voltage curve for even more efficiency. This so-called curve shaping is an important feature that enables additional performance optimizations, provided there is sufficient cooling and a compatible motherboard with an OC-capable chipset.

More Options with New AMD Motherboards

AMD Radeon – visoko učinkoviti grafični čipi RDNA za namizne računalnike

CPU-ji “Granite Ridge” serije Ryzen 9000 so opremljeni z integrirano grafično enoto Radeon. Ta integracija združuje arhitekturo Zen 5 procesorjev z zmogljivimi grafičnimi zmogljivostmi, kar ima za posledico učinkovit in zmogljiv APU. Grafična enota je integrirana v I/O matrico procesorja, ki prav tako zagotavlja pasove PCIe in upravlja povezavo s krmilnikom pomnilnika.
